from gaza day 3
today i went to smoke behind the school where i am in working in. I found there 3 boys age 15-20 that where hanging around. They invited me for tea that they prepare on a fire.. One of them, ahmad lost half of his leg when a missile hit his families house. I try to talk with them as good as i can. When i told them that i have to leave now and go back to the work with the children they are dissappointed. They invite me to come again for tea and in my next break i am visiting them again. The 2 younger ones where kicked out of school after they hit their teacher and they hit him back. Read more »

the golden ball
I worked with children the whole day, most of them look tired and stressed. They are thankful and a smile finds a way on their face when we play with them. I use special games and exercises to give back stability and rythm into the life of the children. Also it is important to give them feeling of joy and being welcome.
In the afternoon we work in the al Qatan cultural center. A whole clan is coming with their children.
In the war the Israely army asked them to gather all in one house as they operated in their living area. Read more »
from gaza
Leaving Kairo in the morning we head down to Rafah in a little bus. The good news: we got the paper from the german embassy to enter Gaza. The bad news: we might have to leave gaza allready on the 4th again cause the embassy warned us that Israel is planning an airstrike on the 5th again.
At the egyptian boarder we hand out our paper and wait 2 hours for the man in charge to have a look on it. He is sitting with other important men in a little room. I can see that they are having lunch inside....I am hungry too. Read more »
